A lot of creatures depend on
the wetlands, for food, shelter, and pit stops.
Many birds use Wetlands during their annual migration. Such
birds as: geese, herons, egrets, ducks, cranes, yellow-headed
blackbirds, marsh hawks, rails, and kingfishers. They use wetlands
for shelter while they are migrating. Without wetlands they would
not be able to migrate and they
could die.
Many fish spawn in wetlands, these wetlands provide food
and protection for smaller fish. Amphibians need wetlands to
reproduce. Turtles, snakes, and
insects thrive in wetlands.
